Senior Manager - Advanced Analytics & Planning for Telecom

Job Specification:

Responsible for subscriber revenue and retention planning and variance as well as designing and delivering on the advanced analytics roadmap.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for planning and forecasting revenue and retention numbers for the organization

2. Proactively guide the subscriber marketing team in all retention initiative with insights on customer base.

3. Build proactive models across Subscriber lifecycle (cross-sell, up-sell, retention, win-back, recommendation engine, forecasting etc.)

4. Lead Big Data technology and analytics roadmap for Viewership and Subscriber one view

5. Support subscriber marketing and product management team with ad hoc analysis

6. Manage the analytics partner relationship. Guide them and lead them to deliver

Skills:

- Managed CXOs through the planning and budgeting cycle

- Great understanding of commercial (Revenue and retention) aspects of the business. Deep experience of planning and budgeting cycle

- Proven ability to multi task and handle multiple complex initiatives

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills

- Ability to translate a business requirement into an analytical task.

- Great interpersonal and influencing skills

- Deep understanding of the analytics space - Latest ML techniques (RF, NN, Ensemble). Understanding of Text Mining - Sentiment Analysis, Topic Modeling, TF-IDF, Fuzzy Matching etc.)

- Know tools and resources available in the industry - R, Python, Knime, Redshift, Cloudera etc.

Experience:

- 7-8 years in the analytics, planning and/or EA function in a TELCOM or Bank

- Previous experience in an B2C online company working with volumes of customer data or experience with an analytics agency working with TELCO or a Media company can be considered as well.

Post Graduate - Masters in Maths or Statistics or related field from a reputed institute
