Senior Logistics Officer

The Logistics Officer at this level will be responsible for the following duties :

- Drafts and coordinates inputs to logistics reports, presentations, briefing notes, and other information documents required by the management, including inputs required by the HQ.

- Reviews project Logistics Plan on various projects and updates/edits relevant documents as required as directed by Head of Unit or Section Chief.

- Assists other sections and legal staff with SOPs and guidelines, compacts and Supporting Implementation Agreement (SIA) documents, up-dating to reflect any changes to strategic/operational focus.

- Develops drafts, diagrams, presentations in all manner of platforms - power points, excel, word, etc .

- Drafts and coordinates logistics plans and other documents supporting the implementation of logistics operations, including updating the project's SIA documents as directed by Head of Unit or Section Chief.

- Plans and coordinates HQ SOS logistics support to security and substantive components of the project, including HQ SOM and SSF, in extra-ordinary operations/taskings.

- Coordinates and provides logistics support to ongoing air, land, sea, or rail operations in the area.

- Identifies, mobilizes resources, implements and reports on special logistics operations.

- Liaises and coordinates logistics support with other units within the Project Support Division, such as transportation, communications, movement control and procurement, and outside MSD with security and substantive offices.

- Coordinates logistics requirements with other HQ and other organizations in the Project.

- Liaises and coordinates logistics support with HQ.

- Ensures that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained.

- Ensures that logistics requirements take account of gender-specific needs.

- Performs other related duties as required.
