Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance:
Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting the e-commerce and manufacturing industries in India.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, supported by comprehensive legal research.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, manufacturing contracts, and service agreements, ensuring compliance with Indian legal requirements. Conduct legal research to support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with industry standards.
Intellectual Property:
Manage and protect the company's intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights, adhering to Indian legal standards.
Conduct regular audits to identify and address potential intellectual property issues.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities in the Indian market.
Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks and ensure the company's interests are safeguarded within the Indian legal framework.
Dispute Resolution:
Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary, and navigate the Indian legal system effectively.
Develop and implement strategies for efficient and cost-effective dispute resolution within the Indian legal context.
Regulatory Affairs:
Interface with regulatory authorities in India and ensure compliance with Indian industry-specific regulations.
Provide guidance on regulatory matters related to e-commerce and manufacturing in the Indian market.
Corporate Governance:
Advise senior management on corporate governance matters relevant to Indian legal standards.
Ensure compliance with Indian corporate governance standards and best practices.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions to educate relevant employees on legal matters and compliance requirements within the Indian legal framework.
