Senior Legal Counsel Role - Intellectual Property Attorney - Media Firm

SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL ITELLECTUAL PROPERTY ATTORNEY

- The purpose of the job is to draft review and negotiate different types of commercial transactions and support the management of the Company's intellectual property profile. Prepare standard company contracts, including partnerships, vendors, suppliers, buyers, licensors, NDA, employee contracts etc.

- Extremely Profecient in IP and Copyright related mechanisms across various media platforms and important markets for media business. (Specialises in IP Law, Media and Entertainment Domain would be preferred)

- Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.

- Prepare the appropriate legal documents for trial or court proceedings.

- Represent the company in legal proceedings.

- Design and oversee the company's policy and position on legal matters.

- Protect the company against legal risks and violations.

- Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.

- Negotiate deals and formulate deal terms on behalf of the company.

- Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

- Be aware of formulation of media regulations and policies by Government and regulatory agencies and its impact on business. Responsible for projects assigned regarding the development and negotiation of contracts on behalf of the Company's business team and other stakeholders.

- Superior analytical skills

- Outstanding client facing experience and negotiation skills, Clear Understanding of legal principles regarding protection of intellectual property including service mark protection and software licensing, Advanced understand business principles and functions across the global marketplace, Must be equipped to demonstrate and lead strict process disciple and adhere to deadlines, Ability to work in a collaborative and highly interactive environment across the globe, Collaborate across functional teams and foster collaborative environment, Able to work with diverse groups work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues and reach consensus, Able to multi-task effectively prioritize to meet deadline and work under pressure, Oriented towards achieving results and objectives

- Ability to adapt to new technology

Requirements:

- Has experience in contracts and transactions

- Knowledge of business principles and functions across the global marketplace

- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional

- Require more than 4-6 years in compliance or legal area

- Must have 1-2 years in supervisory role

- Require Juris Doctor degree or equivalent

- Require license attorney with an active membership of a state bar or equivalent
