Senior Knowledge Analyst - Data Analytics - Advanced Analytics Team - Consulting Firm

We are looking to hire a Data Analytics professional who has strong experience in creating VBA and Excel based tools/models/reports/dashboards etc across industries. The professional will be a part of the operations team in the Advanced Analytics unit of a leading Management Consulting firm, the team is based in Bangalore.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a strong candidate with advanced analytics experience to fill a Senior Knowledge Analyst position within the Advanced Analytics team. The role provides an opportunity to leverage analytics methodologies to deliver value to case teams through providing analytics subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support. The position collaborates with case teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support analytic solutions serving client needs. It provides technical support through providing deeper understanding of a problem and processes to formulate high quality and efficient analytic solutions. Assignments will range from answering questions on analytical methods to working on advanced optimization/simulation cases for specified duration across varied industries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rapid business requirement gathering and analysis

- Work with the project stakeholders to analyse business problems or issues, identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing analytics tools (Eg. Excel VBA, Alteryx, Tableau etc)

- Collaborate with project team members in writing prioritized business requirements documentation, including scope definition and statement of work

- Gather and organize information about the problem to be solved and develop solutions or alternative approaches

- Make recommendations to stakeholders through presentations or excel

- Insight generation using basic analytics tools (Excel and Alteryx) and advanced analytic tools (SQL, What's best, Anylogic, AIMMS etc)

- Perform quantitative analyses and generate insights leveraging analytical tools and techniques

- Provide analytics and decision support using basic modeling, optimization and simulation techniques

- Design and develop data visualization to summarize analyses

- Collaborate with available resources and operations research experts across the firm when required to identify, research and resolve problems and issues reported by clients or case teams

- Provide support in deployment and training tool users

General requirements

- Collaborate with associates/consultants in case teams, ensures execution and is responsible for overall quality

- Leads the communication and manages workflow to ensure case team satisfaction

- Advises, shares and trains on Operations Research content knowledge with other Analysts

- Provide day-to-day apprenticeship & coaching for Junior Analysts with guidance from Knowledge Expert.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Certifications

- Bachelor- s/ Master's degree in operations research, applied mathematics, business analytics, statistics, economics, computer science and/or bachelors in engineering/technology

Work Experience

- At least 4-6 years of MS Excel/VBA experience across industries and advanced analytics solutions in a commercial setting

- Consulting experience will be considered a plus
