Senior Group Manager - Finance & Accounts Operations - GAAP

In addition, the ideal candidate would have:

- An qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or relevant accounting qualification

- 10 years- experience in Insurance accounting (UK GAAP, US GAAP, STATS)

- Knowledge of Syndicate accounting and reporting

- Highly motivated self-start with strong integrity

- People management and key stakeholder management (CFO, FC, Ops/ Program Directors)

- Good communication skills

- Ability to demonstrate pragmatism and firm judgment

- Knowledge of SEC, US State and BMA reporting is a plus

The following are the key activities of the role:

- Assist in setting up offshore team with end-to-end Finance operations (including Investment accounting, Treasury and FP&A) from greenfield as per the Lloyd's and London Market standards

- Assist multiple Finance system implementation (including ERP) and creation of global chart of accounts

- Provide assistance and work with wider teams on strategic projects as required

- Review, interact, train and manage offshore resources and help to retain and build knowledge through process documentation and knowledge sharing

- Operate as an offshore lead to deliver end to end processes related to internal, external reporting including Statutory, Regulatory and Tax

- Participate and lead governance meetings and discussions with key stakeholders

- Delivery of BAU performance as per the service levels and assist teams to improve through continuous improvements and digital transformation

- Actively support and assisting team members through technical skills (Insurance accounting/ London market)

- Manage offshore team and develop key talent for retention

- Drive risk and controls, information security and compliance for processes related to Finance
