Position Title Senior Group Manager - BD (Ratings large corporates)
Location Chennai
Reporting To BD Head
Job Purpose:
In this role, you will be a part of the Business Development group. The job involves:
- Marketing of rating products to corporate/banks at senior level ( CFO or promoters/owners) explaining the rating products and the benefits of rating. Acquisition of new Clients. Achieving the targeted growth in revenue and market share. Scanning the market for potential leads, targeting and converting the same into business.
- Monitoring competitive activity and also assisting in new product development and innovation by developing an understanding of the needs of the market participants. Enhancing companies' brand amongst the various market participants, including intermediaries and investors, through constant interaction with them as well as through organization of workshops/educational events and other innovative ways.
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Pitching Research products to Corporates/FIs at middle to senior levels (Credit/Risk teams, Treasury Heads, CIOs/CROs) and explaining companies value proposition
- Acquisition of new clients and enhancing/maintaining existing client relationships
- Achieving business revenue targets assigned for the specific region allocated
- Scanning the market for potential leads, targeting and converting the same into business.
- Identifying new business segments where research can be sold and generating new product ideas
Functional Responsibilities:
- Tracking products and services launched by competition and developing the needs of the market participants
- Creating a strong value proposition of research offering with financial sector companies, including banks, NBFCs, intermediaries and investors through constant interaction and through knowledge sharing sessions
Qualifications and Functional Competencies:
MBA Marketing (Full- time) (Tier 1/2/3)
Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain client relationships
Basic know how of current events and financial concepts
Keeping abreast with opinions on key industries and ability to communicate the same to clients during interaction
Adherence to various internal BD processes (MIS, meeting information, etc)
