Senior Financial & Legal Controller - FinTech

Job Description :

A fintech platform and work with RBI regulated NBFCs along with building partnerships with large enterprises. The senior financial and legal controller will be responsible for ensuring financial and legal compliance of the company. This would include managing the regulatory reporting and finance management in coordination with the company's CA firm. It- d also include ensuring that the financial or other legal contracts that company gets into are in the best interest of the company by working with our legal firm.

Responsibilities:

Financial aspects:

1. Lead the management company financials including revenues, vendor expenses and other financial transactions

2. Lead the collections and revenue sharing with NBFC partners in collaboration with the risk team

3. Work with CA firm to manage accounting records, reporting and ensure regulatory compliance in US and India

4. Work with client delivery team to monitor revenue generation at client level

5. Work with client delivery team to get constant feedback on client side accounting processes including issuing statement of accounts

6. Work with founders on financial compliances around any new round of funding

Legal aspects:

1. Lead the company wide legal documentation management policies

2. Create a scalable process to manage client contracts and customizations.

3. Help negotiate and manage legal contracts with key partners like NBFCs, banks and sales channels.

4. Work with our legal counsel to draft and manage agreements for end customers

5. Wok with legal counsel to ensure legal compliance with RBI norms

6. Work with the legal team to keep up to date on wage laws and ensure the legal soundness of our operations.

7. Work with founders and legal team on legal compliances required for new round of funding

Skills:

- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller

- Work with compliance, legal constructs and agreements a major plus

- 8+ years of working with finance regulations

- CA and other adjacent certifications required

- LLB or other legal certifications a major plus

- Excellent fluency with accounting tools and software

- Prior experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
