Senior Executive - Purchase - Electrical Industry

Graduate / Postgraduate with PG Degree/Diploma in Materials Management or Operation Research 6 to 8 years from Electrical industry or similar industry

Hard core Manufacturing purchase Experience and Vendors Management

Role:

- Vendor Price Finalization and Procurement planning.

- Strategic sourcing and Contract management

- Capacity analysis and enhancement for vendors

- Inventory Management

- Indirect and Emergency buying for the factory

- New Tool and die development and management with tracking of usage

- Product indigenization for import substitution

- Driving Product Cost Reduction Initiative

- Negotiation and E - bidding

Responsibilities:

- Vendor management

- Procurement of Production and non-production items and services.

- Audit Management and Process Compliance.

- Coordination with internal and external stake holders and vendors so that the RM supply is smooth

- OPEX and CAPEX procurement as per Department requirement

- Support in new product development and new vendor development and time to time assessment

- Alternate sources development for existing product Vendor

- Quality improvement at vendor end.

Other Responsibilities :

- Sanchay - Cost Savings and cost innovation

- Involvement in Spark initiative

- Strong negotiating skill and can work closely with vendorsand support them

- Able to work with internal teams and closely with General Stores, Vendor Development, R&D, Planning and Production for on time sourcing of raw materials

- Knowledge of Contract and Contract management

- SAP and MS Office (especially Excel& ppt )

- Should have sound knowledge Materials management

- Knowledge and experience in Material pricing

- Experience of dealing with Contractors and job work

- Sound knowledge of SAP Materials and billing processes including PO etc.

- Timely adherence to statutory compliances

- Pricing

- Bill approval in SAP and processing for Contractors and Piece rated jobs

- Monitoring the Vendor's supply

- Statutory compliance by the vendors
