Job Responsibilities

- Managing Indirect litigations, assessments and compliances.

- Responsible to manage Indirect taxes litigations and building defence strategy.

- Managing GST assessments and appeals including strategy, data collation, review of submissions, managing notices, etc.

- Representations before tax departments/officers/commissioners.

- Tax refund management.

- Co-ordinate with the team at factories and Branches to collect the documents and details for submission with the department.

- GST tax rationalization.

- Partner with the business team and solve tax issues being faced by the business internally and with the external vendor.

- Liaise with tax advisors / consultant in relation to the tax advisory and litigation matters..

- Responsible to oversee and manage IDT compliances and accuracy.

- Accountability of month end closing activities from tax/GST purposes.

- Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives.

- Co-ordination with the technology teams to develop reports to enable indirect tax compliances.

- Oversee the E-invoicing and e-way bill compliances.

Candidate Profile

- Qualified CA with 4-5 years of post-qualification experience

- Experience in FMCG and retail chains preferred.

- Experience in tax litigations, assessment and strategy.

- Strong project management skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Solution-oriented and positive attitude

- Fast-mover, quick to adapt.

Functional Competencies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous

- Technically strong with extensive experience in Indirect taxation laws

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to independently work well with minimum supervision.

- Ability to work in ambiguity to solve a given business problem and provide relevant inputs for key organization decisions.

- High standards of integrity and work ethics

- Fostering teamwork
