ROLE SUMMARY : - Reporting to the AVP-Corporate Legal and responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts - Legal advisory to business teams - Legal knowledge management YOUR ROLE SPECIFICATIONS : Some of the key functions include : - Expertise to draft a variety of contracts such as procurement contracts, outsourcing contracts, property related contracts including conveyance and leave & licence, distributor contracts, contracts with services providers etc - Ability to advise on various legal issues including legal metrology, consumer complaints, factory, employees, environment, real estate transactions and general commercial - Summaries and make presentations on important legal developments including judicial pronouncements, new law/regulation for briefing to the senior management and business teams - Reasonable knowledge of and exposure to various corporate, commercial, civil, property and consumer laws including Companies Act, Competition Act, Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act - A sprit to work as a team member and keen desire to learn QUALIFICATION : - Legal graduate with 4 to 5 years PQE of excellent track record of working with a reputed law firm or legal department of a large organization. - An experienced candidate having exposure to matters related to FMCG industry will be preferred. SKILLS REQUIRED : - Excellent spoken and written communication - Ability to collaborate across levels and functions - Having knowledge of M&A transactions is not a must but will give an added advantage to the candidate - A candidate must have excellent analytical skills and drafting skills. - Candidate should have a good grasping, strong desire to learn and time sensitivity. - Must be a good team player. - This position requires a lot of interaction with internal stakeholders at various levels of the organisation and external stakeholders (including customers, government offices, lawyers and industrial forums etc). Hence, having excellent written and spoken communication skills is a must.
