Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Senior Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our offshore development center's operations and nurturing client relationships within the US healthcare industry. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and domain knowledge will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Offshore Development Center Management:

- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, ensuring they deliver projects on time and within budget.

- Define and implement development methodologies, best practices, and processes to optimize efficiency.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the development center.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients in the US healthcare sector, understanding their unique requirements and challenges.

- Establish and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, understanding client needs, and addressing concerns proactively.

- Collaborate with clients to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.

3. Technical Expertise:

- Leverage your hands-on software engineering experience to provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, especially in US healthcare IT, and apply this knowledge to project strategies.

- Exposure to the following Technologies/Tool stack is important.

- Project Management Tools: - Azure ADO, JIRA or Similar:

- Development Environment: - Integrated Development Environments (IDEs): Familiarity with popular IDEs like Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, or Eclipse, depending on the technology stack.

- Containerization Tools: Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration (if applicable).

- Virtualization: Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware or VirtualBox

- Cloud Services: - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Depending on the company's cloud infrastructure, familiarity with cloud services and deployment is often essential.

- Database Management: - SQL and NoSQL Databases: Understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): - Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD: Knowledge of CI/CD tools for automating software delivery pipelines.

- Monitoring and Logging: - Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana): Tools for monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.

- Code Review and Collaboration: - GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket: Platforms for code hosting, collaboration, and code review.

- Agile/Scrum Tools: - Agile Project Management Software(If any)

- DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): - Terraform, Ansible, or Chef: For automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

- Security Tools (Understanding): - Basic knowledge of security tools and best practices for secure software development.

4. Team Development:

- Mentor and develop team members, fostering their growth and career progression.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

5. Project Delivery:

- Ensure the successful execution of projects, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with client expectations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 13 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leading and managing technical teams.

- Strong exposure to the US healthcare domain, including knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.

- Experience working with offshore development teams is a plus.
