Senior Director - Supply Chain Operations - Internet/eCommerce - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

- A highly rewarding role for a passionate individual to join an India based fast growing Y Combinator startup that offers daily delivery services wherein you would be responsible to ensure smooth running of supply chain operations. Being a part of larger Operations function that is responsible for order fulfilment, logistics and customer experience ;as Sr. Director you would be leading the Supply to Last Mile for all Cities with focus on exceptional delivery SLA`s and Customer Experience while driving continuous process improvement projects. You would play a critical role for ensuring availability of adequate fleet and/or building the fleet and infrastructure to meet the Supply demand.

- Our client is looking for a strong team leader who would efficiently be able to manage a large team size of 10,000 + people across cities, scaling up operations while leading efficiency projects aimed at reducing operational cost & building towards healthy margin.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure smooth running of supply chain operations; leading Operations - Supply to Last Mile for all Cities with focus on exceptional delivery SLA`s and Customer Experience

- Playing a crucial role in building operations as a backbone for business growth

- Running continuous improvement projects for serving all customers within the stated service delivery timelines

- Leading a large hierarchical team across cities of more than 10000 people and closely monitoring performance metrics

- Driving process & compliance implementation & continuous improvement

- Heading efficiency projects for reducing overall operational cost & building a healthy margin

- Executing plans for ensuring availability of adequate fleet and/or building the fleet and infrastructure to meet the supply demand

- Strategizing and executing central initiatives as well as contributing ideas for effectively scaling up the operations in all cities

Requirements:

- An Engineering graduate and Management post graduate from Tier 1 college ; 8+ years experienced Supply chain professional specializing in end to end e-commerce operations & handling large scale operations while working in a renowned startup environment .

- Proven track record of working in startups and complex Indian e-commerce supply chain with experience in leading 1st mile and last mile operations at large scale.

- Strong experience in handling large scale operations, teams of 10,000+ individuals and P&L

- Experience in handling Ecommerce / Supply chain operations, customer delivery experience

- A pragmatic & analytical individual with robust business planning & executing skills; someone who has experience in scaling up business operations.

- Prior experience in reducing operational cost and increasing business growth & profitability .
