Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist with a background in Healthcare and Bioscience related projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques to derive insights and develop data-driven solutions in the healthcare and bioscience domains. The candidate must preferably hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and possess a deep understanding of data science methodologies and their application in the medical and bioscience fields.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, biologists, clinicians, and software engineers to define and execute data-driven projects in the healthcare and bioscience domains.

- Develop and implement advanced algorithms and statistical models to analyze complex biological and medical datasets, including genomics, proteomics, clinical data, and more.

- Design and optimize machine learning models for predictive analytics, disease diagnosis, treatment optimization, and patient outcome prediction.

- Identify and integrate relevant external data sources to enrich the analysis and support research objectives.

- Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation to ensure high data quality and integrity for modelling and analysis.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis and visualize results to communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Apply state-of-the-art techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop innovative solutions for healthcare challenges.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in data science, healthcare, and bioscience to continuously enhance the team's expertise.

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists and team members.

- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data infrastructure and scalability of data pipelines.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data science, with a specific focus on healthcare and bioscience projects.

- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).

- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.

- Proven track record of successful project delivery in healthcare and bioscience, resulting in actionable insights and impact.

- Experience with handling and analyzing large-scale biological datasets like genomics, proteomics, and electronic health records (EHRs).

- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage, distributed computing, and big data technologies is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative approaches to complex challenges.
