Senior Data Scientist - Automobiles/Manufacturing Firm

Job Description:

- Pro- ciency in programming languages such as Python or experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, and a strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques.

- Demonstrated ability to develop predictive models, perform advanced statistical analysis, and drive insights from data.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, machine learning or advanced analytics.

- Identify best analytical techniques to achieve Business Unit objectives; design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics solutions, including predictive and prescriptive outputs, analytical tools, and visualization capabilities to enable business users to make data-driven decisions.

- Execute analytic activities supporting solution development, including data gathering, cleansing, and integration, statistical transformation and modeling, and feature engineering and selection

- Apply analytical techniques, including linear/non-linear models, clustering, optimization, forecasting, machine learning, and neural networks.

- Develop innovative solutions through deep understanding of internal and external data

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Expert knowledge of advanced statistics and machine learning methods, including regression, classification, time series analysis, network analysis, clustering, simulation, dimension reduction

- Proficient in using SQL and Python to process and analyze data and create data visualizations

- Experience in manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale data

- Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

- Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to completion, both independently and in a team environment, with minimal guidance

- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to deliver thought-provoking analysis and provide clear, concise recommendations
