Senior Data Scientist

- Develop and maintain pricing tools, such as elasticity of demand calculators, and profitability models.

- Drive total gross margin growth by identifying pricing actions that enhance sale values, conversion rates, inelasticity, margin rates, and customer satisfaction.

- Forecast margins to provide insights into the impact of promotional and seasonal pricing.

- Monitor input costing changes and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds for potential changes to finished product prices. Present pricing analysis, including price sensitivity, price elasticity, cross-price elasticity, and cannibalization due to price changes, at strategy meetings.

- Communicate pricing changes bi-directionally through the command chain and lead pricing-related projects.

- Utilize marketing mix modeling to assess the impact of marketing activities on sales and optimize marketing spend. Stay abreast of industry developments through various sources and provide market views and feedback for R& D efforts.

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and experience within the CPG/Retail industry.

- Experience in Price Optimization, Price Elasticity, and Cross-Price Elasticity, with a solid background in Python and machine learning techniques, is a must. Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis.

- Proficiency in Python/R programming, Excel pivot tables, SQL queries, and PowerPoint.

- In-depth knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Business Objects, or SPSS. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive analysis-driven change throughout the organization.
