Senior Data Analytics Manager Responsibilities : - Strategic Planning - Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop, communicate - To create a long term data science and data analytics roadmap that supports strategy, build, and continually improve products for both cost saving and generating revenues. - As a part of Decision Intelligence frame - To leverage data to gain key insight into business opportunities, and effectively presents these insights to business stakeholders and focuses on facilitating data driven change and creating business value through Data & Analytics. - Company wide governance strategy and execution plan to include measurement and accountability for strategy and plan. - Develop flexible operating models towards development of a data science product and insight driven culture. - Helping the management to drive the vision for the use and leverage of data, ML, and AI in the organization, make data science a key aspect of our product offering and drive bottom-line growth for our direct business and b2b partners. Specific Responsibilities Includes : - Lead an organization of 10+ data analysts, data scientists, and decision scientists. - Working alongside Data Product Head and ML Head to drive innovation in data analytics generated over the remote sensing products. - Improve the process to gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques - Focus on the application of analytics and data science to drive measurable business results. - Analyze client data using EDA and provide actionable insights to improve processes and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool. - Partner with ML R&D head to drive the direction of research based on the market requirements for Data Science and Remote Sensing Products and help the team to execute it to solve complex business problems. - Partner closely with senior and executive leaders across the organization to drive operational excellence through data analytics and create new business opportunities. - Partner with the ML Engineering team to ensure the best use of data tools, data sets, and data environment to support analysts and data scientists. - Handle client interaction, client negotiations and build strong documentations. - Work closely with the team to support ad hoc requests from business users and liasoning with the internal and external clients to fully understand data content. - Work closely with the product, marketing and business team to provide data analytics contents. Oversight and Performance Management : - Track progress against the planned analytics developments, people and processes. - Analyze the root cause of the gaps between the planned and actuals for the planned developments. - Track the KRAs and OKRs of the reportees in a precise and objective manner. Qualifications : - Master's degree in Computer Science, Econometrics, Statistics or related technical field - 10 to 12 years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches - Very conversant with advanced statistics and in-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms. Preference will be given to geospatial analytics - Should be conversant with Python & R/ SAS - Experience communicating quantitative analysis results - Experience in working with big data and unstructured data in a big industrial setup. - 5+ years experience in management, including indirect management of cross-functional teams. - 5+ years experience in analytics and data science and demonstrable experience in building data science capability - Senior-level people leadership including the development of people leaders, and an understanding of organizational design strategies. - Flexible leadership style and willingness to be hands-on while building out teams and practices in a growing organization. - Expert in the selection and application of current technologies for analytics and data science (data warehouse systems, data visualization, data science platforms) including scalable data science environments - Technical depth to guide a team of AI/ML experts in applying the most appropriate techniques emphasizing driving business impact - Familiarity with data vendor ecosystem and leveraging of third party data sets as extensions
