Senior Data Analyst - Consulting Firm

Urgent opening for one of our clients (Major player in IT/Analytics consulting) for the role of Sr. Data Analyst for Bangalore location.

Job Description:

Must Haves:

1. 5+ years as an analyst measuring and communicating business performance.

2. Additional programming experience with Hadoop, Big Query, Python

3. Experience working in Real Estate analytics, valuation modeling, marketplace analytics, behavioral analytics, and/or auction & game theory.

Good to have:

1. Advanced problem solving skills, must demonstrate analytical and critical thinking.

2. Advanced time management skills.

3. Strong ability to work in a fluid and changing environment.

4. Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple, complex issues and competing priorities simultaneously, and collaborate cross-functionally.

5. A proven communicator, ability to present to executive level leaders in all communication forms.

6. Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced MS-Excel skills).

7. Seasoned with Structured Query Language (SQL), preferably Microsoft SQL.

8. Strong finance and accounting knowledge.

9. Strong math skills, solid statistics background a definite plus.

10. Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.

11. Experience working with and wrangling data from multiple data sources to develop a single process.

12. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience

13. Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in Analytics

14. Advanced skills with SQL, Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, Statistical Programming software such as R or SAS.

The responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision- makers.

2. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

3. Constructs market assessments, forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

4. Manage multiple simultaneous tasks and priorities

5. Build presentations for audiences including executive leaders

6. Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.

7. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
