We have an Excellent Opportunity for Sr Consultant- PR role with a leading Global PR firm in Bangalore.

Role : Senior Consultant

Position Profile :

- Senior Consultants support multiple accounts, efficiently and effectively managing core public relations tasks independently. They have a solid understanding of the clients' business and industry, and are able to proactively translate the know-how into creative tactical implementation. Senior Consultants are efficient task managers with demonstrated time management skills.

- They are skilled at driving program execution independently, including research, writing/editing, special events, media relations, budgeting and account administration processes. They play an active role in managing and driving a standard of quality control, creativity and excellence in execution within the agency.

Primary Responsibilities :

Performance leadership :

- Develop comprehensive tactical plans that incorporate traditional and social media elements. Contribute to the larger plan development process, as needed

- Develop media strategy documents independently that reflect in-depth knowledge of clients' top-tier media, communications objectives and desired outcomes

- Identify, build and maintain relationships with key trade reporters, business reporters, and bloggers. Proactively consume traditional and social media outlets that are relevant to client business

- Secure national, local and social media placements, actively pitch media about client news by conducting media outreach, research and follow up

- Oversee monitoring of traditional and social media outlets for coverage of client news, competitor and industry developments; work with junior team members to analyse coverage results and flag for appropriate team members

- Able to independently implement traditional and social media campaigns, and blogger outreach. Manage and oversee core program elements as needed

- Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills

- Draft media relations materials with minimal input required from supervisors that are strong in structure aligned with program strategy set by the account leadership; demonstrate an attention to detail and minimal factual error

- Lead the development of materials, special event logistics and other relevant programming; draft event flow documents, pitch letters, abstracts, profiles, press kit materials and releases; provide guidance to junior team members on draft materials

- Proof and edit client-related documents, as needed

- Demonstrate solid knowledge of clients' business objectives. Proactively recommend programs and initiatives that meet those goals; develop plans for approved initiatives

- Participate in client meetings and presentations

- Responsible for on-schedule implementation of assigned projects. Manage and prepare timely updates to clients and supervisors on program or project process; review and approve recap reports

- Independently manage special event logistics up to and including the execution of event; proactively identify and alert supervisors on potential issues

- Research spokesperson and speakers bureau candidates; assess opportunities and recommend talking points; manage liaison with speakers and platforms

- Stay abreast of the latest trends in digital communications

Workplace leadership :

- Adhere to the IPG Code of Conduct in all business interactions, and conduct self in a manner that reflects the agency's vision and values at all times, in all forums

- Work independently on program elements; provide timely updates on progress of activities and proactively flag issues and communicate with supervisors for resolution

- Act as an informal supervisor to junior team members on program tactics

- Demonstrate understanding of how social media channels can be activated in client programs; implement initiatives as appropriate to further clients' communications objectives

- Participate in colleague feedback review process by providing specific constructive input on experiences with supervisors or colleagues, as relevant for each account team

- Train and manage interns on processes and procedures

- Assist in identifying new agency interns by reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates and providing timely feedback on candidates

- Attend agency staff meetings and group meetings, as well as appropriate L&D sessions

- Own and drive performance management process with supervisors Market Leadership

- Participate in agency leadership opportunities and assist with new business, as needed

- Demonstrate fundamental understanding and ability to communicate about agency internally and externally

- Actively participate and contribute to agency brainstorms as needed Operational Leadership

- Balance workload between accounts and proactively communicate with managers to ensure that all work is accurate and completed within established deadlines

- Contribute to work plan of junior team members and mentor on processes and program execution

- Track/ enter time with precision on a day-to-day basis and submit expense reports in a timely manner

- Work with Finance to manage and reconcile monthly out-of- pocket expenses and third party as needed, to help ensure timely invoicing of clients

- Assist with development of account/ program budgets, as needed

- Contribute to program planning and account management by writing sections of programs that are on-strategy with minimal input from supervisors; research and track budgets as needed

- Perform other administrative tasks, as assigned Strategic Leadership

- Solid team player. Work effectively with team members in-market and across the network; foster solid intercompany relations as relevant

- Oversee tactical program implementation and support client teams; provide strategic leadership in program development for supervisory review

- Identify opportunities for agency/ team learning and development tools; make suggestions to expand agency knowledge and understanding as needed
