Senior Consultant - Oil & Gas Sector

Designation : Sr.Con - Oil and Gas

Qualification : B.Tech and MBA from good colleges (60% & above throughout)

Job Description :

Understanding and Exposure to one or more of the following global markets - Oil, Refined Petroleum Products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene, Jet Fuel, Residual Fuel Oil etc,), Natural Gas and LNG, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Biofuels etc.

- Supply demand dynamics and trade flows

- Pricing mechanism and drivers

- Operations - Upstream, Refineries, Midstream, Petrochemical plants etc.

- International trade, bulk liquids, chemicals and gas shipping

- Understanding of international commodities trading

- Fundamentals of commodity trading - supply demand mismatch, contracts and pricing, arbitrage, incoterms, trade finance etc.

- Logistics and assets - Shipping, terminals and storage etc.

- Trading processes - Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office (mandatory)

- Hedging and risk management, Risk Control Organization, Risk Management systems processes

- Trading technology - operational and information technology

- Exposure to databases such as - Factiva/Avention, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters Eikon, ICIS, IHS, Wood Mackenzie etc.

- Good problem solving skills and analytical bent of mind - to be tested

- Good MS Office skills - Excel and PowerPoint (mandatory), Word report writing experience preferred - to be tested

- Experience of creating financial models on Excel an added advantage

- Engineering/Business/ Economics degree from a reputable institution

- Experience : 2-6 years of experience in consulting, business research, trading companies, corporate strategy etc.

- Organizations : Trafigura (backend), Oil Companies Supply and Trading function, Other Big4, Business Research organizations
