Senior Consultant - Analytics/Pricing Implementation - Insurance

Position Description :

- Incumbent will be responsible for working towards price implementation, coding and data analysis required for supporting the Pricing team in the organization.

- This will require an understanding of insurance data, rating logic, insurance product & basics of pricing.

- The incumbent will be responsible for the coding, and supporting the pricing team stakeholders with various data requests as well as any data analysis required for pricing.

- They will be required to manage reporting and dashboarding of this data on specific software like Excel/ QLIK/ RADAR as required by the business. They should be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders, business leads and IT teams and drive results.

Required experience/skills :

- 5+ years total experience

- General Insurance knowledge - preferably have worked with Pricing/Underwriting/ Claims departments

- Ability to write efficient code to extract data using various tools e.g., SQL, SAS.

- Ability to move data from one format to another e.g., from SQL to SAS: from csv to SQL etc.

- Ability to merge multiple data sets, including merging data sets in 2 or more different formats.

- Ability to write efficient code to cleanse data efficiently in SQL/SAS.

- Understand the key aspects of good data governance i.e., Data Models & Data Dictionary.

- Expert in Data Preparation, Data Summary, Data Visualization

- Expert in MS Excel, SAS/ SQL

- Worked in multiple platforms like VBA, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau etc.

Project Management :

- Project delivery (including preparation and review of project output)

- Process improvements

- Participate in project-relevant training. Guiding and training junior team members

- Preparing and delivering client presentations

- Participate in client interaction and stakeholder management

- Building networks with internal teams and external stakeholders

- Excellent communication

- Drive internal and external teams to implement Analytics in new areas

- Leading a team of 1-3 Junior resources
