Introduction:
Arthan, on behalf of one of our partner organizations, is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Research and Evidence Practice in New Delhi. This practice focuses on improving policies, programs, and service delivery in LMICs through robust monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) activities. The Senior Consultant will collaborate with various sector practices to ensure methodological rigor and contextual expertise in project implementation.
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery (50%):
- Provide technical oversight on MERL aspects across projects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Theory of Change, MEL frameworks, and evaluations.
- Manage project timelines, quality standards, and primary data collection.
Business Development (35%):
- Cultivate relationships with clients, including donors and foundations.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities aligned with the organization's strategy.
- Expand the network of regional consultants and potential collaborators.
Technical Quality & Leadership (10%):
- Participate in learning events and pursue personal development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of MERL projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in international development MEL services.
- Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Track record of acquiring high-value donor-funded projects.
- Experience leading complex evaluations for major donors.
- Proficiency in project management and team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short-term assignments.
