Senior/Chief Manager - Vendor Management - Overseas Sourcing - Appliance Industry

Job Purpose:

- To ensure supply of product as per market requirements at right time, right price and right quality with maintaining inventory norms.

- To ensure to introduce quality products from Overseas manufacturer in BEL Consumer Durables group as per Indian standard requirement and meet quality plan requirement.

- To Ensure product development at overseas vendors as per market requirements.

Scope: Manage overseas vendor relationship, supplier process management & improvements, product improvements, develop and introduce new products.

- Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities

- Ensure supply of the product as per market requirements at right time, right price and right quality

- Ensure product planning aligned with forecasting, buffer management requirements, lead time, on time ordering and release of orders as per defined commercial terms.

- Ensure production of goods, quality inspections of goods and delivery as per requirements and timelines.

- Ensure cost optimization of supplied products and related inventories.

- Interacting with Logistic team, R&D team, Marketing, Suppliers, QA and Customer Care CC team for CAPA

- Responsible for Vendor development & Vendor management, Monitor relationships and contracts with suppliers at China, Evaluation of vendor performance score in quality area at China

- Lead new Product Development on design aspects from overseas vendors.

- Product evaluation and making observations and recommendations., Complete ownership and custodian of products submitted as samples involving evaluation responsibility, report submission and maintaining / disposal of samples with appropriate records

- Ensure action for Customer Care serviceability aspect, Recommend product improvements to reduce field failures.

Person Specifications : 

Essential Qualification: B.E Electrical/Mechanical

Desired Qualification:

Experience: 08-12 years in an Appliance Industry

Industry Preference: Small and large Appliance Industry

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Annual CTC: Rupees 20,00,000 to 22,50,000
