Our client is in a space of revolutionising creator commerce and is a part of a group which is India's one of the largest influencer management company. They are building commerce 3.0 by empowering creators to do commerce in their own way.
About the role :
We are looking for dynamic, open minded self-starters who enjoy Business Management / Buying & Planning roles and would like to build a Category in the fast-paced eCommerce industry.
Responsibilities :
- PnL: The Category manager would be responsible for the revenue targets as well as the gross margins hovering across brands.
- Selection: Responsible for Open to buy management, assortment planning, option plans and buying from brands pre-season as well as in season to ensure that the Category is well represented.
- Relationship Management: Should be able to maintain relationships with biggest of brands of the country and manage internal stakeholders at the same time
- Category Growth: Should have a view of and drive towards growing the category keeping in mind the consumer and competition
- Cross Functional Capabilities: Should be able to fruitfully coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, cataloguing, finance / commercial and other functions of the organization.
- Trend Spotting: Should be able to identify broader trends and fill category gaps
- Supervision and Monitoring of Operations: Should have prior experience or enough knowledge & confidence to mentor / supervise merchandising operations. Inbound planning, Cataloguing monitoring & Discount monitoring etc should be managed.
- Marketing promotions: Should drive visibility plans, promotion plans and coordinate the same between the internal marketing teams and that of the brands
- Candidate will be handling key brands as well as Market place vendors in the portfolio
- Inventory Planning & Management: Inventory health metrics for the portfolio needs to be adhered to
Desired Skills & Experience :
- MBA + 3-5 Years of relevant Retail Experience (Pre or Post MBA)
- A UG from NIFT + MBA will be preferred
- Experience in Men's Buying, Planning, E Commerce, Retail is preferred
Other Requirements :
Must Have :
- Comfort with numbers
- Understanding of Buying, Planning and Inventory Management
- At least Good MS Excel skills if not advanced
- Broader understanding of E commerce
Nice to Have :
- Understanding of Internet/mobile technology
- Understanding of Analytics
