Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - ISI

Responsibilities include:

Defining initiatives to bring analytical insights to the business.

Identifying predictors and causes of business related problems and implement novel approaches related to forecasting and statistical prediction.

Leading cross-functional teams to generate plans to accelerate the success

Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

Creating cross-functional programs to identify and execute on business opportunities to improve the Seller experience across India.

Identifying, developing, managing, and executing analysis to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will shape the future

Managing projects and defining initiatives to bring strategic analytical insights to the business.

Requirements:

PhD in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics or related quantitative field or MBA with a focus on Quantitative Analysis.

4+ years of hands-on industry experience in in business intelligence, data mining, statistical analyses.

Record of delivering large analytical solutions with business impact.

Ability to use quantitative data and metrics to back up assumptions and clearly communicate insights gained by your analysis.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems and work well with cross functional teams.

High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Proven leadership experience in managing projects.

Proven ability to influence others.

Excellent SQL knowledge.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel and VBA).

Creative and proactive problem solving experience.

Ability to work with a wide cross-section of people in various teams.

Passion for big data.

Preferred:

General manager/owner mentality, entrepreneurial drive.

2+ years of people management experience.

Knowledge of R/SAS/Matlab (or similar scripting language).

Qualification

Ph.D in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics OR

Bachelor/Masters from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI)
