Senior Business Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:

- Work with large and complex datasets using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.

- Clean, aggregate, analyze, interpret, and ensure the quality of data.

- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive analysis.

- Translate analyzed data into actionable business insights.

- Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to key stakeholders.

Project Management:

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (business, IT, data warehouse) throughout the project lifecycle.

- Understand project dependencies and adapt to changing requirements in an agile environment.

- Support the development and maintenance of existing data dashboards.

- Develops and updates physical data models for the enterprise reporting platform.

Data Warehousing and ETL:

- Create scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

- Build and maintain data warehouses by extracting data from ERP applications.

- Monitor database tables, index sizing, and performance on a daily basis.

Data Governance and Quality:

- Maintain data integrity through periodic audits and identify root causes of data load errors.

- Recommend application, system, or process improvements to optimize data quality and efficiency.

Technical Skills:

- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and data warehousing concepts.

- Ability to write and maintain documentation for scripts, specifications, data structures, and user instructions.

- Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders (business users, developers, data analysts) to gather information, understand requirements, and communicate data insights.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.

- Proven experience in data analysis, data visualization, and data warehousing.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI (or similar tools).

- Experience with data governance practices is a plus.
