Senior Associate - Valuations - BFS - CA/CFA

Designation : Senior Associate

Education/Qualification : CA, CFA. MBA or equivalent qualification

Relevant Experience : 1-2 years

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop financial models / detailed business plans for conducting business valuations.

- Conduct business research / analytical review on past, future and comparative performance of the client companies and develop forecast models.

- Perform research on industry, comparable companies and comparable transactions.

- Eager to learn advanced techniques like option pricing models for valuation of derivatives.

- Actively contribute in valuation report writing.

- Create Information Memorandums for client companies for fund raise assignments.

- Contribute in conducting financial due diligence on target companies on behalf of venture capital firms.

- Identify issues and propose strategies related to the work procedures to make the execution process more efficient.

- Maintain positive, productive, and professional relationship with client personnel and colleagues.

- Perform basic supervisory duties and mentor or train junior staff.

- Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engaged team member; stay abreast of current business and economic developments; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of service provided.

Requirement :

- Highly proficient in spreadsheets, PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.

- A minimum of 1+ years of valuation advisory experience of utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies (Income Approach, Market Approach, etc.) within a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research agency.

- Experience in conducting valuations for business and preparation of business plans.

- Knowledge of research tools and databases like Capital IQ, Mergerstat etc. would be helpful.

- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal and teaming skills.
