Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, who can help us extensively with contract drafting, research, due diligence, and contract management. In this role, you will be required to advise and work on a variety of legal matters ranging from contracts, IPR, Data Privacy, compliance etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing terms of diverse business contracts, encompassing software license agreements, NDAs, distributor agreements, research collaboration agreements, specific study agreements, service agreements, letters of intent, vendor agreements, and employment agreements, among others. This extends to various jurisdictions.

- Providing legal counsel and support on general corporate law matters, advising company management on day-to-day affairs, policy considerations, and addressing legal issues across corporate matters, international commercial law, disputes, data privacy, and IP laws.

- Ensuring compliance with ESG standards, contributing to the establishment and implementation of the ESG framework, including roadmap development and execution.

- Coordinating with external counsel and authorities concerning legal and compliance matters, conveying advice and opinions received from external sources to internal stakeholders.

- Oversight of the organization's Intellectual Property portfolio.

- Managing privacy law concerns across multiple jurisdictions, guaranteeing organizational processes, policies, and programs comply with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DPDPA, HIPAA, and industry best practices.

- Assisting the Data Protection Officer in handling data protection matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and addressing queries from internal and external stakeholders.

- Staying abreast of laws and regulations related to IP, open-source, data privacy, and data security.

- Providing guidance to HR on employment matters, reviewing and revising Company policies and processes to align with legal and statutory requirements.

- Conducting legal research, drafting documents, and creating workflows, playbooks, and trackers to enhance team processes.

- Overseeing overall legal and secretarial compliance for the organization and its subsidiaries.

- Assisting with various tasks, including administrative duties, extensive legal research, and presenting summaries of legal implications to effectively resolve issues.

Skills and Expertise:

- Bachelor's degree in law from a reputed law school.

- Work experience of 6-9 years (preferably in legal department of a healthcare or a leading law-firm).

- Candidates with AIBE cleared will be preferred.

- Candidates with LLM in corporate and financial laws or technology laws will be preferred.
