Senior Associate - Corporate Development - Global Video Game Developer

The role is within the Corporate Development Team (looking at the India and MENA regions), of one of the top Video Game developers and publishers globally.

Roles and responsibilities:

1) The Company has a large number of strategic investments in start-ups in the Media and Consumer Internet space in India. This role will play a leading part in managing our portfolio of companies/investments/funds and building the overall strategy for helping them succeed and realizing the strategic synergies with our Company.

- Will involve regular sync-up and discussion session with founders and managements of portfolio companies to support their business development, strategy planning, and fund raising.

- Networking and building trusts with relevant counterparties for co-investments, strategic partnership, and etc.

2) Manage internal communication activities such as creating internal pitch decks, building alignment with internal stakeholders, and support business development or collaboration between investee companies.

3) Support the process and global deal flow evaluation with respect to India and MENA regions and assist HQ/global teams when necessary.

4) Create regular and ad hoc reports and follow all internal operational procedures to manage portfolio.

5) Help leadership team with overall portfolio strategy and help build thesis for new and follow on investments.

Desired Candidate Experience Profile:

1) Preferred working experience of 5 ~ 10 yrs in CorpDev/Strategy Consulting with deep knowledge on interactive entertainment (incl. gaming) and IT sector or Media & Entertainment sector as an Associate or Sr Associate, FRESHERS need not apply.

2) Strategic thinking and execution capacity. Applicants should be able to collect relevant information, analyse it, come up with original strategic ideas, and push them forward to portfolio companies, which would help portfolio companies to unlock new values.

3) Strong communication skills. Applicants must demonstrate the aptitude to develop and own relationships with existing and potential portfolio companies, and also internal stakeholders

4) Preferred MBA or reputable university degree in finance, economics, business, or engineering major (incl. computer science). This is NOT a pure finance role.

5) Strong Skills in presentation and data positioning along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Significant experience in working in excel and evaluating financial models.

6) Should be passionate about Video Games and the Media & Entertainment industry.
