Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be part of the insurance team and shall be responsible for :
- Monthly accounting across Irish and UK insurance Entities.
- Key focus to revenue estimation and variance analysis including forecasting revenue by extracting and processing data from different source system.
- Perform Balance sheet account reconciliations for accounts on a month to month basis to ensure all old balances are settled within defined time
- Accounting for various inter-company related charges.
- Assist with the statutory audit and regulatory reporting.
- Preparing the internal management packs.
- Identify, design and enable process improvement initiatives for increased efficiency
Experience and Qualifications:
- Graduate / Post graduate with approximately 3-4 years of accounting experience or qualified accountant with 2 -3 year of experience
- Basic understanding of systems related to investment management.
- Strong verbal and written business English communication skills, experience in presenting to senior management.
- Commitment to overseas travel
Essential Skills Required:
- Strong Microsoft Excel alongside good IT skills particularly Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
- Accounting / Audit / assurance background.
- Good analytical skills and ability to challenge the status quo
- Exp. in statutory audit and regulatory reporting
- Exp. in Irish, UK, US Finance
- Exp. In revenue estimation and variance analysis
- Exp. in Balance sheet account reconciliations
