Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst - Long/Short Emerging Markets - Investment Management Firm

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Financial Research group based out of the firm's office in Hyderabad, India. This group works closely with the front office to provide high quality and in-depth investment research for the Firm's global proprietary trading strategies. The role involves working closely with the LOSH-Emerging Markets team.

Primary responsibilities include :

- Idea generation and portfolio monitoring

- Thematic sectoral, geographic, and company research

- Preparation of industry dashboards with in-depth company write-ups and investment summaries

- Development and maintenance of proprietary financial models and probability-weighted decision trees

- Company and peer valuation, including sensitivity analysis

- Monitor and analyze relevant company and sectoral events

- Close work with the portfolio manager and attendance on management, intermediary, and sector expert calls

The ideal candidate should have an MBA in finance or comparable qualification with 4-6 years of domain experience in the Emerging Markets (more specifically China, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong), with particular sectoral focus on technology, industrials, auto, and services.

Experience and competencies in financial modelling, valuation, and fundamental equity research and analysis are required, along with excellent communication skills. Candidates with working experience in Japan, in addition to the above-mentioned sectors, are preferred.

MUST HAVES :

1. Candidate with experience of working in emerging markets with strong expertise in FINANCIAL MODELLING & VALUATION are preferred.

2. Candidates would be focussing on geographies such as China, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea across sectors & Companies.

3. Cross industry and multiple geography expertise is preferred.

4. Person with BUY SIDE expertise is a pre requisite. Not sell side
