Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst - Financial Research/Financial Reporting - CA/CPA - Energy

The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant, with 3-6 years of direct experience in preparing and/or auditing financial statements and footnotes, and have a strong understanding of US GAAP.

- Experience in preparing financial statements of renewable energy companies under US GAAP would be ideal.

- This role requires regular interaction with US and Hyderabad based teams as well as external parties; hence the candidate should possess excellent written and spoken communication skills. Any previous experience in Energy/Real Estate/Financial Services sector would be an added advantage

- Should have good experience with regards to handling Energy and renewable clients (eg: Oil & gas, Power sector)

Primary responsibilities include :

- working closely with the Head of Financial Reporting and the accounting team, to prepare accurate and high-quality financial statements for the various reporting entities within the Renewable energy business.

- working on ad hoc requests and supporting accounting/operational/business initiatives.

- preparation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc US GAAP compliant financial statements for various project entities and holding companies including annual footnotes.

- reviewing activities conducted by the third party accounting service providers to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing, consolidation and reporting.

- reviewing US GAAP accounting assessments related to new renewable energy acquisitions and other complex transactions to ensure proper disclosure on financial statements.

- preparing and updating financial reporting supporting schedules and reconciliations that are used to support the annual audit.

- understanding new accounting pronouncements and detecting any potential impact

working with internal and outsourced accounting teams, as well as asset managers, to provide high-level review and aid the completion of monthly and quarterly close process.

- working with asset managers and executive management to support internal and analytical reporting.
