Senior Analyst FSPP - Banking Strategy & Policy

- Conduct thorough analysis of existing financial inclusion policies and regulations.

- Design and recommend policy enhancements to promote inclusive financial practices.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform policy recommendations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design innovative financial products.

- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new product development.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with government and private sector clients.

- Provide strategic advisory services, addressing specific financial inclusion challenges.

- Present recommendations and findings to clients in a clear and compelling manner.

- Engage with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and community organizations.

- Work collaboratively with internal teams to integrate diverse perspectives into solutions.

- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build awareness and understanding of financial inclusion principles.

- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for financial inclusion initiatives.

- Track and assess the impact of implemented policies and products.

- Provide periodic reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

- Assist in organizing national-level events and workshops for MSC, Bangladesh,

- Contribute to the development of MSC's toolkits and other publications.

Business Development





- Build relationships with existing and potential clients

- Take initiatives to develop Client Relationship

- Develop and submit proposals to generate business - particularly for the Practice Group s/he is part of

- Represent MSC at conferences etc.

- Author /Co-author of thematic publications to be developed from field experiences (Focus notes/Briefing notes)

- Actively engage in marketing activities and participate in digital media dialogues (blogs, discussion forums etc.)

Human Capital Development

- Conduct "Quality of Delivery"/Feedback assessments with team members after assignment execution in line with the quality control guidelines

- Assist and support development of other staff by providing guidance and advice where appropriate

- Share knowledge with staff and create opportunities for mentoring

- Take ownership of self-development by acquiring skills and knowledge which add value to the organisation

Business Execution:

- Lead or assist with the planning and implementation of medium/large technical assistance assignments

- Conduct assignment set-up and de-briefing meetings of assignments where s/he is responsible

- Builds rapport with various contact points at the client organisation for successful execution of the assignments

- Plan and execute assignments with utmost due diligence

- Oversee and support the process of report writing and data analysis

- Review training courses delivered, research papers prepared, curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients

- Contribute to the development of MSC's toolkits and other publications

Academic/ Professional Qualifications:

- Preferably an MBA or equivalent or other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialisation - A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field

Experience:

- At least 5-9 years' experience in mainstream banking and financial services is mandatory, especially in the area of product development and impact assessment, especially research, project design, implementation, management, and evaluation - In-depth knowledge of financial inclusion principles and practices.

- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with expanding financial services to underserved populations.

- Proven experience in analysing existing financial policies and regulations.

- Ability to design and propose effective policy solutions to enhance financial inclusion.

- Expertise in designing innovative financial products that cater to the needs of diverse customer segments.

- Familiarity with market research methodologies to identify gaps and opportunities in financial product offerings.

- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing financial services.

- Ability to navigate and ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

- Experience in engaging with government agencies, private sector organizations, NGOs, and community groups.

- Proven ability to provide strategic advice to clients on financial inclusion initiatives. Skill in presenting complex ideas and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the organization. Experience working on multidisciplinary projects to integrate diverse perspectives into solutions.

- Proficiency in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

- Capability to track and assess the impact of financial inclusion policies and products.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex financial inclusion challenges.

- Ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

- Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
