Senior Analyst - Economic Research - Global Research Economics Team

Senior Analyst, Global Research Economics team will be responsible for:

Individual contributor role

- Sector Knowledge: A senior analyst needs to have a thorough understanding of all Macroeconomic concepts and should be able to spot key trends that drive investment views.

- Idea generation: She/he should have excellent reasoning skills to be able to distinguish anomalies from trends, and should not be shy of differing from market consensus.

- Business requirement: Timely and accurate delivery of all tasks - independently or jointly with other team members/onshore stakeholders.

- Research communication and reports writing: She/he should be articulate in speech.

- Adhoc projects may include but not limited to data mining, analysing, answering specific queries and performing elaborate econometric exercises.

- Global Products: Co-ordinate global products from Bangalore as required by global/regional sector heads. Drive all team products from Bangalore and work cohesively with other team members providing them with guidance and mentoring as and when needed.

- Should ensure compliance - both Global Research and GBM-GSC related in letter and spirit

- Client requests-Should handle client requests in a compliant manner

- Contribute to department and center level priorities pro-actively.

Qualifications:

MA in Economics/MSQE or equivalent degree in Economics

Skills

- Sound knowledge of Economics and current affairs

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Mentorship and technical skill development of junior team members

- Influencing and persuasiveness

- Ability to work independently

- Hands on experience in advanced Microsoft excel and exposure to databases including CEIC, Datastream and Bloomberg

- Advanced knowledge of econometrics would be an advantage

Experience

- 2-4 years.
