- Understand business problems and learner profiles to design a learning solution and its evaluation methodology
- Design new or refresh existing digital learning programmes
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and onshore stakeholders to ensure that the learning design meets the learning objectives and key success criteria
- Build effective relationships with on-shore and off-shore teams (other instructional designers, learning developers, graphics and video experts, project managers) to build visually engaging and interactive learning content
- Project manage the learning design and development lifecycle from conception through to deployment and go-live. Provide direction to the learning, graphics and media developers.
- Ensure published content meets technical design and functional requirements
- Review and/or update existing learning content as per post course evaluation
- Design learning content as per agreed team processes and methodologies
- Where required and possible, film key SMEs and design innovative and engaging videos using motion graphics and animation
Education qualifications:
Graduate or above Desired skills:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in using a variety of techniques to develop engaging instructional content that also effectively address learner, performance and business gaps
- Clear understanding of learning content design and development life cycle (content handover, content analysis, high level and detailed content design, storyboard, media sources, build, quality assurance, deployment)
- Working with subject matter experts and learning developers to build innovative learning solutions
- Working on multiple projects concurrently
- Evaluating impact of learning on performance and business goals
- Analyze existing and emerging technologies to propose their use in an instructional environment.
Core skills:
- Experience in instructional design and content development with an understanding of learning strategy and adult learning principles
- Learning programme and project management
- SME and stakeholder relationship management
- Excellent language (written and verbal) skills
- Experience in using rapid authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline
