Senior Analyst/Associate - Risk Manager - Prime Brokerage

Position Description

- Global Prime Finance (GPF) provides custody, clearing, and financing services across products to Hedge Fund clients; Real Money Managers and Large Institutional Clients.

- GPF Risk is centrally placed within Global Prime Finance, with the responsibility of providing client financing solutions through prudent and comprehensive client risk management.

- The position is for a Risk Analytics role within the GPF Risk team.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Provide margin financing for prime brokerage clients (including Hedge Funds and institutional clients) across strategies including Fundamental Equity L/S, Credit and Equity Quant.

- Understand and Develop Risk Analytics on the Client data available on the platform.

- Monitor accounts for changes in the strategies/asset mix in client portfolios and assesses the risks associated with the portfolio.

- Gather market color by looking into Research reports, attending conference calls etc. and overlay those with the GPF trends in order to produce market-leading analytics

- Work in collaboration with other desks in GPF (including Sales, Cap Intro, Client Services, FRM, Stock Loan) and across the Bank (Credit Risk/Exposure Management) to provide end to end risk solutions.

- Enhance and Develop new Quantitative tools on the GPF Risk platform for other risk users and senior management.

Education/ Qualifications:

- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in mathematics or engineering with strong analytical skills

- IIT (Maths/Engg), Quant Risk, VBA, SQL

- Preference to IIT / NIT / BITS 2015/2016/2017 batch

- Ability to take initiatives and should have significant attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and initiative to engage with teams spread across locations.

- Ability to raise problems immediately to the broader team when necessary.

- Experience with VBA, SQL and other programming languages or analytical tools would be beneficial.
