Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide development support on business reporting requirements, such as data requirements identification and documentation.
- Data wrangling from primary source systems using Alteryx, Python and R
- Compile and present information using data visualization/plotting tools such as QlikSense / Tableau / D3.js
- Manage data manipulation & data integrity process highlighting to ensure quality information delivery.
- Interact with stakeholders throughout the organization on Data Management Initiatives.
- Documenting requirements and translating to actionable reporting.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to handle multiple simultaneous efforts.
- Gather, synthesize, analyze and present data and findings; recommend next steps and actions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong passion for report development, business intelligence and analytics, and an ability to drive related capabilities using BI / reporting development and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to distill information into simple concepts and reporting that users can take action on.
- Experience participating or leading BI and reporting development projects to drive operating efficiency.
- The ability to source and join data from multiple sources, and experience integrating data models/streams into BI tools.
- A strong understanding of data management and current tools and processes.
Educational Qualifications and Work Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience, preferably in financial services
- Advanced SQL experience (required)
- Experience in Qliksense / Tableau
- Experience with data wrangling and programming tools. Strong preference for experience with Alteryx, Python and R
- Experience in Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Aptitude for data and database management
- Ability to analyze problems, communicate outcomes and recommendations effectively and confidently (both verbal and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities to improve outcomes
- Team player with a demonstrated work ethic - consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism in behavior and performance
- Effective prioritization skills to meet a complex set of business demands and demonstrate delivery against multiple objectives.
