Senior Accountant - FMCG/Healthcare - CA/CS

This role is for a reputed and fast growing Footwear Company based at Thane. The Accounts are currently being managed by an outsourced agency and the candidate will be responsible for in-house Accounting & Secretarial duties. The ideal candidate would be a CS, who comes with good P&L and end-to-end accounting experience.

Educational Qualification : CS & CA ideal. The ideal candidate would be a CS, who comes with good P&L and end-to-end accounting experience.

Critical for Success : End-to-End Accounting experience.

Position Reports to : Business Head.

Industry experience - Retail industry will be added advantage.

Job Deliverables:

1. Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue

2. Prepare documentation for External Auditors

3. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies

4. Coordinate semi-annual audits

5. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

6. Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team

7. Performs all assigned month-end duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations and other reporting schedules.

8. Accurately estimates and calculates capitalizations and reserves for month end close.

9. Prepares quarterly inventory forecasting and monthly cost of merchandise variance analysis.

10. Performs analytical reviews for inventory-related General Ledger accounts.

11. Maintains proper Internal Controls to ensure compliance.

12. End to end accounting knowledge.
