Position : Senior Accountant


Experience : 5-6 years


Industry Preference : Stock Broking firm/Trade and Securities


Responsibilities :


- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Generate periodic financial reports for management review.


- Handle end-to-end GST and TDS compliance, including filing of returns, reconciliation, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Stay updated on changes in GST and TDS regulations and implement necessary adjustments.


- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records. Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.


- Manage and reconcile all expense-related transactions, ensuring proper coding and documentation. Collaborate with relevant departments to streamline expense reporting processes.


- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.


- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial processes.


- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasting. Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures.


- Apply knowledge of stock broking and trade and securities accounting principles. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of transactions related to stock broking activities.


- Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting and financial reporting. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure cohesive financial management. Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.


Requirements :


- 5-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on GST and TDS compliance.


- Experience in a Stock Broking firm or Trade and Securities industry is highly preferred.


- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.


- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.


- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
