Process / People Management:

a) Establishes goals and objectives for the teams, anticipating problems and revising plans to minimize impact on deadlines

b) Provides objective performance feedback to operations team, addressing all performance issues in a timely manner across the department.

c) Ensures adequate staffing levels on a day to day basis to manage BAU

d) Ensures proper training and development of staff to meet requirements of their job

e) Manages resources to meet SLAs to target 100%

f) Generates ideas for operational efficiency and assesses impact

g) Ensures that all metrics are completed and areas for improvement are pursued

h) Works closely with global partners to progress on process improvements

i) Review and improve on productivity benchmarks on ongoing basis.

Client / Risk Management

a) Engage with Internal clients and our other partners across the enterprise to resolve inquiries, incidents and challenges as quickly as possible

b) Support audit and compliance reviews in line with corporate standards

c) Assesses areas of risk within the department and establishes control mechanisms to control/monitor risk and respond to regulatory/legislative changes

d) Assist in preparing and implementing Business Continuity Plans

Information Management:

a) Hold regular manager meetings to keep staff informed on items relating to the department, global practice as well as enterprise bank wide information.

b) Collect and report management information in a timely manner, analyzing and translating trends into solutions.

c) Escalate issues which may have a significant impact on client satisfaction with the appropriate sense of urgency.

d) Assist clients/partners/staff to meet with complex problem resolution, consulting on effective ways to meet internal/external client needs

e) Follow audit norms, reporting deviations / suggesting improved controls, Improvements

f) Attends weekly calls with middle office/SM's and provides updates on key controls and other BAU issues

Leadership:

a) Seen as a role model and is well respected by staff, peers and partners.

b) Maintain professional demeanor and even approach at all times.

c) Maintain technical knowledge around the securities industry and instruments, understanding how they impact TLM and other systems.

d) Provide direction to the team by empowering staff, coaching, motivating and engendering team spirit.

e) Demonstrate ability to delegate effectively.

f) Demonstrate strong ability to develop staff.

Process Innovation and standardization:

a) Reduce rework and errors in line with measurable targets

b) Primary goal is to maintain the standardization of processes and configuration that is being built by the team

c) Standardize RecsProcess procedures between IOO and Custody silos

d) Oversee new Recs / Recs Premium implementations to propose standards

e) Review and standardize the match rule creation process to onboard new clients

f) Redefine the UAT process for new client onboarding

g) Standardize match rules and look for opportunity to Reuse throughout the TLM instances

h) Oversee TLM Recs Premium implementation from standardization perspective

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

- In depth knowledge of Reconciliation

- Good Knowledge on TLM Recs or Recs Premium

- Good understanding of various securities in the market.

- Exposure to breaks identification/Exception handling, investigation process and resolution

- Good Understanding of different formats of feeds, Swift formats, account structure etc.,

- Experience in handling feeds issues, automation activities in and around various platforms

- Good escalation/issues management skills

- Good knowledge of MS office, proficiency in MS Excel

- Good Communication Skills
