Sealed Air - Application Development Specialist - Food Packaging

Sealed Air is a global leader in fresh food packaging technologies. For more than 50 years, the food packaging business has been developing technologies to keep food fresh, better tasting and more accessible.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, young professional as ADS - Food Packaging for our Food Care division

Specifically the key deliverable s from the role are as follows :

- Map the existing market & identify the key growth opportunities

- Develop a better understanding of evolving market trends and customer needs

- Develop programs with a systematic approach that will include appropriate product selections, cost in use calculations, investment needs and benefits delivered to the customer

- Create new business development projects

- Drive the new business creation process and build a strong sales funnel

- Create new business segments - focus on Process Food OR Dairy OR pharma sectors.

- Align internal resources (sector, R&D, marketing), within India and outside .

- Build value propositions for each opportunity/ project

- Conduct trials and gain approvals

- Convert opportunities to profitable, sustainable sales

- Replicate successes across customers and sectors

- Monitor competitive activities

- Achieve quarterly/annual new business development targets

- The incumbent will have to travel extensively (within India primarily, often for extended periods of time.

- The position will report to Sector head.

The ideal candidate should :

- Be an engineer or food technologist or dairy technologist from a reputed institute

- Preferably have MBA qualification

- Have 4 - 6 years of experience in a sales or business development role in B2B sales ONLY apply.

- Prior experience of dealing with food & beverage companies or in food packaging industry is desirable

- Possess ability to - learn on the fly- willing to learn about new segments, technologies, processes, industry practices

- Be a strong team player with developed interpersonal skills

- Be energetic, entrepreneurial and hard working

- Be willing to stretch and strive - find new business creation a fulfilling experience

- Be prepared to work hands on and establish applications at customer locations

- Enjoy traveling
