BPS Analytics: Data Scientist (Development role)  Job description  - Understand transaction data and develop Analytics insights using Statistical models using SAS and/or - R   - Exploratory analysis and model building to develop predictive insights ( e.g.: multi-level Forecasting, time-series models, Exploratory Analytics, Web analytics, Digital Campaign Optimization, default scorecards, predictive failure models, Generalized linear models, logistics/linear Regression and logit/probit model etc)   - Communicate the understanding to Business audience data analysis and model development for client and cross-industry solutions focused on analytics, statistics, correlation analysis and predictive modeling  - Working with extended teams on identifying industry and/or cross-industry analytics approaches toward solution development, especially as "embedded analytics- within Business Process Services (BPS) clients  - End to end analytics solution responsibilities within the industry or analytics competency areas for development and into production (with the help of a Lead Analytics Architect and additional analytics engineers (developers):  - Initial solution definition  - Data identification, cleaning, completeness, initial analysis  - Correlation, statistics, variable/metric id and development  - Predictive toward prescriptive model development  - Analytics development lifecycle use - dev, test, prod  - Contribute to thought leadership and strategic internal initiatives  - Work across other org division technical resources on both pilots and production solutions both within BPS and across broader BI and analytics platforms  - Apprising the stakeholders about project(s) status on a regular basis.  Desired Skills and Experience :  - Data understanding and analytics design work done experience across at least two industry areas- Technology, Retail, Contact Center, Digital Marketing, Marketing /Sales  - Prior experience in hands-on development of analytical models,including data-driven metric, variable identification, creation and impact/priority development, as input to the model(s)  - Able to perform drill-down analysis of key business problems, interpret results, generate insight and recommend strategies, into solution development completion  - MA/MSc. (Ops Research/Econometrics/Statistics), MBA (Finance/Systems) with 8+ years relevant work experience   - Strong to expert knowledge of SAS and/or R or similar industry tools - preferably multiple tool experience  - Effective analytical, oral and written communication and presentation skills, including in development of PowerPoint presentations  - Very good interpersonal skills and positive attitude   - Strong Articulation and communication- Interaction with operations, Business leaders, and Customer organizations  - Independent and result-driven mindset   - Strong collaboration, organization and the ability to work well in teams are required  - Preferred - Experience in working in Machine learning/Pattern recognition areas
