Job Description: Scrum Master

Location : Mumbai, India Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week (office-based)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master to join our team in Mumbai. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in managing technology/delivery teams and ensuring effective implementation of Agile/Scrum methodologies. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in managing technology/delivery teams, and a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Facilitate Agile/Scrum processes and ceremonies for technology/delivery teams, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

2. Act as a servant leader and coach for the team, enabling collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.

3. Guide and mentor team members on Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and roles, ensuring a shared understanding and adherence to Agile methodologies.

4. Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize user stories, epics, and product backlogs.

5. Remove obstacles and mitigate risks that may impact the team's ability to deliver on time and with quality.

6. Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and open communication within the team and across the organization.

7. Track and monitor sprint progress, burn-down charts, and velocity, providing timely and accurate status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

8. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to share best practices, lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

9. Support the team in delivering high-quality software/products, ensuring adherence to Agile development practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.

10. Continuously assess and improve the team's Agile maturity, identifying areas for growth and implementing appropriate strategies and practices.

11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Agile/Scrum methodologies and recommend process improvements and tools to enhance team productivity.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering). A master's degree is a plus.

2. Minimum of 6-8 years of work experience in managing technology/delivery teams in either service or product-based companies.

3. Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including Scrum framework, user story mapping, sprint planning, and backlog management.

4. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certifications are preferred.

5. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence team members, stakeholders, and leadership.

6. Proven track record of successfully implementing Agile/Scrum methodologies and driving teams towards high performance and delivery excellence.

7. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address challenges and facilitate collaborative solutions.

8. Experience working with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, Trello) and other software development tools.

9. Familiarity with software development processes and technologies, understanding the technical aspects of projects and potential risks.

10. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects concurrently.

11. Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
