Science Officer - Biotech

Position: Science Officer

Compensation: Around 60 Lakh INR annually (subject to current profile and current CTC)

Job location: Hyderabad. (Primarily at Head office in Banjara Hills, will require need based visits to Factory which is located 1hr outside Hyderabad)

Qualification: PHD in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology

Experience: Around 10 - 15 years in Biotech company as a Science Officer

Job Description -

To leverage existing products (probiotics, enzymes, metabolites and postbiotics) and expertise into a marketable product with proof of benefits / clinical trails / field trails / university trails, regulatory approvals in place, technical sales toolkit. Candidate will need to lead initiatives to develop market ready products beyond the R&D /production stage. This will entail coordinating with clinical trails team to conduct trails. It would also entail working with regulatory team to understand barriers to entry and gain access to new markets and working with the commercial team to evaluate opportunity size

To work in conjunction with the company's leadership team to develop corporate strategy based on market trend and cost benefit analysis to position the company as a leader in fermentation derived ingredients. This would require identification of new products for development which have good potential in the various application areas including: Human health(Food / Supplements) , Bio agriculture, Bioremediation, and Animals health applications. Prior experience in non-human applications not a prerequisite. However, candidates should be open to working on and learning these markets (their regulations, competitive dynamics and trends) to lead initiatives in these application areas in partnership with the commercial and regulatory teams

To provide scientific support for the commercialisation of new and existing products by presenting at industry trade shows (including Supply Side West, Probiotia, Vitafoods) and by visiting key customers to understand their needs and new trends
