Required Necessary Experience: 10-15 years of Experience as a Registrar or Deputy Registrar in a State approved Private University (Compulsory) Essential Responsibilities :Head the Academic Services Team that delivers Online Program Management Services to our Partner Universities 1. Provide leadership to plan, organize, direct and manage the activities related to the Records and Registration Department 2. Hire, supervise and evaluate the records, registration & examination staff 3. Maintain the minutes of all meetings of the Senate, Management and Academic Councils and of the boards and committees appointed by the authorities of the University. 4. Ensure collection of Data, Record Keeping, maintaining and reporting of student records within University guidelines, e.g. grades, registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification and other associated audits and inspections. 5. Organize and administer the records, registration and convocation functions, including transcript evaluations and certification process in order to provide maximum service to students while ensuring efficient and effective workflow. 6. Participate and serve as part of the Student Services Committee. 7. Supervise the co-ordination, evaluation and certification of all graduation applications, while overseeing the complete convocation process to include all elements of the rehearsal and ceremony. 8. Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within UGC / AICTE guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification, authentic eligibility and accreditation audits. 9. Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced services offered through registration and records. 10. Develop and administer the departmental budget 11. Enable resolve student disputes related to records, registration & examination. 12. Collaborate with administrators, VC, Deans, Faculty, IT and counselors to facilitate and improve services to students, including student handbook and registration/records/examination policy questions. 13. Prepare and Update the Handbook of the Handbook of the statutes, ordinances and regulations approved by the authorities, bodies or committees from time to time and make them available to all respective members of the authorities and officers of the university 14. Receive complaints and suggestions with regard to the improvement of academic administration and consider appropriate action. 15. Handle any other responsibility that has been assigned from time to time which is essential for the functioning of the organization. 16. Consults with other officials to devise registration & examination schedules and procedures. 17. Analyzes statistical data on registration & examination for administrative use in formulating policies. 18. Directs preparation of statistical reports on educational activities for government and educational agencies and interprets registration & examination policies to faculty and students. 19. Directs activities of staff engaged in transcribing and evaluating academic records of students applying for permission to enter institution. 20. Directs compilation of information, such as class schedules and convocation requirements, for publication in bulletins and catalogs. 21. Co-ordinates dissemination of information on courses offered and procedures students are required to follow in order to obtain grade transcripts. Issues official transcripts. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Participate in professional development activities and serve on University / Institute committees that support the goals and objectives of the University / Institute. 2. Provide back-up for records, registration & examination services, including registering students, issuing transcripts, reporting grades and working special events.
