SBU Head/COO - Chemicals Business

The candidate must have minimum 5 years experience as Operational Head

1. Strategic Leadership :

- Develop and execute the strategic plan for the chemical business unit, aligning with the overall company goals.

- Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and product diversification strategies to enhance the company's market presence and profitability.

- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to adapt the business unit's strategy accordingly.

Operational Excellence :

- Oversee and optimize the operations of the chemical business unit, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

- Implement effective processes and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

2. Financial Management :

- Manage the financial performance of the chemical business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

- Ensure revenue and profitability targets are met and implement strategies to increase financial performance.

- Monitor and report on key financial metrics to the executive team and the board of directors.

3. Team Leadership :

- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to department heads and other key personnel within the chemical business unit.

- Ensure the team is aligned with the company's values and goals.

4. Regulatory Compliance and Safety :

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental standards and laws in the chemical industry.

- Implement and maintain safety protocols to safeguard employees and mitigate environmental risks.

5. Stakeholder Relations :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, partners, and industry associations.

- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the company's environmental footprint.
