ROLE PURPOSE : The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and strategic direction to SBFC's accounting function and develop and deploy processes, systems and accounting practices in the organization ROLE DETAILS : Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities : Process & Systems : - Lead developing of processes and robust systems in the company, which are key in scaling up the organization - Lead good governance practices and design process leading to high governance and accuracy of reporting. Accounts finalization : - Comply with Accounting Standards as applicable to the company - Develop robust MIS processes in the company to lead to robust decision making - Finalise monthly MIS, financial reports on timely basis, analyse and report variances and opportunities for the company to improve upon - Execute and complete Statutory Audit and Tax Audit on time Oversee the expense accounting for HO/ centralized expenses and ensure that the expenses are controlled within budgetary limits as per the authorization matrix and inform all concerned in case of exceptions: - Identify the sources of expenses at HO/ centralized expenses and ensure its documentation from the accounting perspective - Analyze the various payments made to vendors engaged for work in HO/ centralized expenses and ensure that the payments are made as per the terms and conditions applicable to contracts - Develop corporate guidelines around the booking of expenses at HO/ centralized expenses and ensure its dissemination to the concerned staff - Monitor the disbursement of payments against created liabilities for HO/ centralized expenses Ensure efficient & effective management of company's finances through all necessary financial controls, systems and processes : - Establish and review mechanism for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records - Monitor the overall revenue assurance responsibilities - Generate Timely and accurate MIS - Oversee financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and variance reports - Appropriate financial control mechanisms to minimise business risk - Ensure statutory compliances of all processes & accounting practices Developing Tax Strategy and compliance program : - Develop & design tax strategies and projects designed to minimize the organizations tax cost in consultation with business and the tax advisors - Develop compliance program in the company through several checks and control mechanism - Finalise the Tax returns, complete the assessments and attend to appeals as may be required - To ensure compliance with all the payments and returns made / filed within the stipulated time frame as required by the Statutory authorities, including Reserve Bank of India. - To ensure compliance with all the payments and returns made / filed within the stipulated time frame as required by the Statutory authorities Qualifications and Technical Skills : - CA or MBA Finance - Possesses sound knowledge of Direct Tax & Indirect Tax - Knowledge on RBI requirements of reporting - Experience of handling Accounts & Tax function in the Banking, Financial or NBFC - Team Handling Experience
