Saveo is a managed marketplace bringing primary & secondary medicine market together, offering faster delivery, cheaper procurement & better technology to pharmacies. It runs with an aim that no prescription shall bounce in India. Pharmacy in itself is a living organism having requirements at different fronts : acquisition of new customers, retaining customers, managing inventory, managing suppliers, finances etc.

The Indian pharmaceutical industry is highly fragmented with 6.5lakh retailers and 65000 distributors, unlike the US where there are just 5 major distributors covering 93% of the market share. We aim to streamline this supply chain by being a single distribution point and empower these 6.5lakh micro-entrepreneurs with technology and sustainability

About The Role :

You will work closely with the founders and senior leaders to execute on strategy and lead supplier-related initiatives. From day one, you will have an immediate impact on our lead generation, sales initiatives, and new growth experiments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Supplier partnership management role.

Responsibilities :

- Develop strategy for identifying and facilitating best deals from existing and new channel partners across the country pharmaceutical portfolio

- Identify, map, and prioritize on onboarding pharmaceutical suppliers by segments

- Build and manage a team of Business Development Leads to execute on the strategy

- Achieve supplier acquisition targets through effective pipeline management

- Scope and execute pilots, leveraging your insights to accelerate growth through new programs

- Work closely with cross-functional peers across Product, Sales, and Marketing to bring your vision to life

- Develop annual and quarterly plans that provide direction and accountability

- Strong people manager who provides clear guidance and removes obstacles

- Trusted partner who communicates effectively across teams

- Someone who thrives in ambiguity

Qualifications :

- 6-8 years of business development or partnerships experience in FMCG/Pharma or related industries

- Experience in negotiating prices

- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated strategic and financial acumen

- Experience in building and managing high performance teams

- MBA degree preferred but not required

- Comfortable working in Excel and SaaS analytics tools

- Exceptional written communication skills

- Ability to get things done
