Saveo is a managed marketplace bringing primary & secondary medicine market together, offering faster delivery, cheaper procurement & better technology to pharmacies. It runs with an aim that no prescription shall bounce in India. Pharmacy in itself is a living organism having requirements at different fronts: acquisition of new customers, retaining customers, managing inventory, managing suppliers, finances etc.
The Indian pharmaceutical industry is highly fragmented with 6.5lakh retailers and 65000 distributors, unlike the US where there are just 5 major distributors covering 93% of the market share. We aim to streamline this supply chain by being a single distribution point and empower these 6.5lakh micro entrepreneurs with technology and sustainability.
Key Responsibility Areas :
- Ability and experience to take lead while building and operating highly scalable systems for both backend and frontend
- Adept in defining architecture, choosing best technologies and leading the development of mission critical systems that constitute the core of organizations operations
- Engineering methodology- logical and rational opinions in , code quality ,testing , ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs
- Must possess exceptional design and architectural skills. Deep knowledge of client requirements, server, DB, algorithms, data structures, control flow, threads, sessions, space-time complexity while designing and implementing services
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and delivering product solutions keeping in balance long-term and short-term actions
- Detailed understanding of building good technical solutions with the ability to galvanize a technical team into solving a problem, breaking large projects into smaller pieces to meet deadlines; ability to convert ideas into testable hypotheses and/or next steps
- Excellent team management and development skills: Ability to set roadmap and goals for the team collectively along with defining individual journey & goals of each member; delegate intelligently, mentoring
- Influencing software engineering best practices within your team for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
Role Prerequisites :
- 5-10 years experience hands on coding, proficient in Java
- Experience of working in high growth startup building scalable systems and architecture
- Capable of handling ambiguous business requirements with excellent prioritization, time management, and a focus on execution
- Ability to lead an engineering team and take responsibility for deliverables while also being an individual contributor at core
- Passion for mentoring with the ability to deliver constructive feedback to bring out the best in a team and help direct reports grow in their careers
- Ability to leverage personal influence and connections to attract top talent
