About SaveLIFE Foundation: - SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to improving road safety and access to emergency medical care across India. SLF connects research, advocacy, communication and execution (RACE) to operate at the intersection of policy-making and grassroots implementation, for crash prevention as well as post-crash response. SLF was recently recognized as the Best NGO in India by the Rockefeller Foundation and is also a recipient of the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award. Role Summary : - SLF is looking for a dynamic COO with proven leadership and general management experience. The COO will work closely with the CEO, Piyush Tewari, and the SLF board to oversee the organization and plan, execute and evaluate SLF's programs across research, communication, advocacy, technology development, and training. Key Responsibilities : 1. General Management and Organizational Leadership - Provide leadership and guidance across functions such as programs, HR, Finance, technology, and general administration - Identify hiring needs and work closely with the HR manager on talent acquisition - Spearhead CSR and grant-related projects from conceptualizing and planning to execution 2. Operational Excellence : - Ensure compliance to all financial and legal regulations - Constantly build and improve systems and processes across various functions 3. Stakeholder Management : - Forge partnerships with other organizations to support and amplify SLF's on-ground efforts - Identify potential funders for the organization and work closely with the CEO to pursue them for wider financial support. This includes researching potential funders, drafting or overseeing the drafting of proposals and letters for them, and developing and executing a donor retention strategy - Engage with State and Central governments to build and maintain strong relationships Experience requirements : Must have : - 10+ years of total work experience - Thorough knowledge of financial systems and HR operations - Relevant operational experience building and optimizing processes for scale - Strong general management and team leadership experience - The previous exp managing a team of 5 to 6 people Preferred : - Background in technology - Master's degree in business, law, public policy or social service from a top-tier institution
